Mental Health Capacity Building

Program Information

"Mental Health Capacity Building (formerly HUB) is a school initiative that works to promote positive mental health in children, youth, families and support individuals in the community who interact with children and youth. The MHCB initiative is based on research and best practice literature that demonstrates that mental and emotional wellbeing can be developed, nurtured and supported through promotion and prevention efforts.

Here at Falun School, we've had MHCB programming for Grades 1 to 6 and this year will also have programming for Kindergarten. We have had a diverse group of programs that have included topics such as social emotional learning, learning about stress, mindfulness, and even included some yoga gym classes. Students at Falun School benefit from these programs, and have thoroughly enjoyed them so far. For more information about MHCB, visit www.wrps11.ca"
