Indigenous Support Worker

Lori Myers Introduction

Tansi! My name is Lori Myers. I am the Indigenous Support Worker for Lakedell and Falun school. I am at Falun school on Mondays, Tuesday mornings and Fridays.

I have been a guest in the Treaty 6 territory for the past 10 years. I am originally from Xeni Gwet’in First Nation, which is in central interior BC. I grew up learning my Tsilhqot’in traditions and spent the summers of my youth in the bush.

I graduated from the University of Alberta’s Augustana campus with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I previously worked as the Indigenous Student Advisor in the Faculty of Arts at the U of A for the past 5 years.

I am so very excited to be a part of the Falun team and work on our collective collaboration in the traditional homelands of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Nakota Sioux, and Mètis peoples.
